Abstract:
SOLUTION: There is provided a manufacturing method of a rubber member for a golf ball, which includes a step of kneading a rubber composition containing the following (a)-(d) components of (a) base material rubber, (b) co-cross-linking agent, (c) water and/or lower alcohol having a molecular weight of less than 200, and (d) fatty acid metal salt, and in which (d) the fatty acid metal salt of the component has a cumulative 90% particle diameter on a volume basis of 500 μm or less, and kneading is performed so that a highest arrival temperature is equal to or less than a boiling point of the (c) component, and is equal to or less than a melting point of the (d) component when kneading the (a)-(d) components.EFFECT: A manufacturing method can securely obtain an effect of water or low alcohol to be used for enlarging a hardness difference between a center and a surface, and also securely highly obtain impact durability of a golf ball by enhancing dispersibility of a co-cross-linking agent without causing the residue of fatty acid metal salt in a rubber composition caused by aggregation or the like, and enhancing acceleration of cross-linking reaction.SELECTED DRAWING: None
