Abstract:
To provide a method for producing a scandium alloy capable of efficiently obtaining a scandium alloy.SOLUTION: There is provided a method for producing a scandium alloy which comprises: a blending step of mixing scandium sulfide, a metal for forming an alloy and metal calcium to form a mixture; a heating step of heating the mixture in one or more atmospheres selected from an inert atmosphere, a reducing atmosphere and a vacuum atmosphere to form a heated material containing a calcium-containing phase and a scandium-containing phase; and a separation step of separating the calcium-containing phase from the heated material to obtain a scandium-containing phase.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
