To provide a manufacturing method of a secondary source paper roll for producing tissue paper products, which prevents breaks or tears during the contact emboss processing, for example, and prevents the roll from being wound up out of alignment, for stable operational purposes, by uniformly applying a chemical solution at high speed to sanitary thin paper sheet with less strength.

This method includes a laminating process 51 for laminating a primary continuous sheet S1 in the conveying direction to make it a laminated continuous sheet S2, a chemical solution applying process 53 for applying a chemical solution to the laminated continuous sheet S2, a slitting process 55, and a wind-up process 56 for coaxially winding up each slitted one of the laminated continuous sheet S2. In the chemical solution applying process 53, the chemical solution is applied by chemical solution applicators 53A and 53B to both sides of the laminated continuous sheet S2. When the laminated continuous sheet S2 is given the chemical solution on each side from both the sides of the laminated continuous sheet S2, the application amount given by the chemical solution applicator 53A to one side of the laminated continuous sheet S2 in opposite to a roller 54A is smaller than the amount given to the other side by the chemical solution applicator 53B.
