To provide a method for producing a sheet-formed article excellent in appearance and touch feeling, and also considering environment, and to provide the sheet-formed article.
This method for producing the sheet-formed article includes the following steps (1) to (3) in this order. (1) The step of forming a non-woven fabric by using an ultra-fine fiber-forming fiber consisting of the combination of two kinds or more of polymeric materials having different solubilities to hot water or an aqueous alkaline solution. (2) The step of impregnating the nonwoven fabric with an aqueous dispersion of a self-emulsifiable polyurethane containing a film-forming silicone. (3) The step of expressing the ultra-fine fibers by treating the nonwoven fabric impregnated with the aqueous self-emulsifiable polyurethane dispersion with the hot water or aqueous alkaline solution.
