PURPOSE: To form uneven parts on a plating surface into smoothness as well as to prevent any lost motion due to the uneven parts from occurring, by forming a reverse concave part in one end of a cylindrical blank and, after the surface is plated, finishing the reserve concave part into a spherical concave part.

CONSTITUTION: At the time of manufacturing, first of all, a reserve concave part 2 is formed in one end of a cylindrical blank 1, making it as a blank work 3. Next, a surface of the blank work 3 is plated with copper and, after a through hole 4 is made up by means of punching, the reserve concave part 2 machined into a spherical concave part 5 by means of press work, making it into a blank work 6. In succession, a chamfering part 8 is formed in an outer circumference of a slide surface 7 being slidden with a swash plate 12 of the blank work 6, while the slide surface 7 is ground and removed the copper plating. And, after heat hardening treatment and grinding take place on the slide surface 7, buffing is applied to the outer circumference of the slide surface 7 and then the slide surface 7 and the chamfering part 8 are continuously ranged with a smoothly curved surface 10. With this constitution, any lost motion due to uneven parts on the plating is prevented from occurring.
