To provide a manufacturing method of a thermoplastic resin sheet which has coating defects and to provide a thermoplastic resin sheet.

In the coating apparatus provided with a liquid discharge means to conduct the discharge coating on the surface of the thermoplastic resin sheet under the traveling motion and a metering means to measure the coated coating liquid to a predetermined thickness, the manufacturing method of the thermoplastic resin sheet is characterized by installing a light irradiation device between the coating liquid discharge means and the metering means, picking up an image of the reflection light to measure the coating defects by a signal formed by processing the image pick-up signal with a signal processing device. The thermoplastic resin sheet is manufactured by the manufacturing method of the thermoplastic resin sheet. The sheet is characterized in that there is no defect of 20 nm or more of the desired application thickness with 0.7 mm or more of width and 5 mm or more of length.
