To provide a manufacturing method of a tile such as a ridge tile with left and right gap sealing parts which ensures the accuracy and stability of a shape by molding a gap sealing part and a rising part in a planar shape at the time of combining upper and lower molds and ensures the degree of freedom in the ridge gradient angle (ridge-forming angle) at the time of laying the tiles by molding a ridge forming part in a vertical shape.

The ridge tile provided with gap sealing parts and further with left and right rising parts is molded, by using a stopper type open press mold, into a derby hat in cross section formed by integrating the top end surfaces of the rising parts, and a stepped part, a split groove and the like on the rear face convenient for fitting the shape of the bottom end of the gap sealing part to the curved surface of a pantile are ensured with a high accuracy. The attaching flat surface, the stabilizing base, the split groove and the like of the rising part are shaped in the mold. This method has an effect for stabilizing the shape after demolding.
