Abstract:

To manufacture a low cost cogged belt by reducing the percent defective of joining work at the cog ridge parts of a sheet for a compressed rubber by closely bringing a reinforcing fabric into contact with the surfaces of the groove parts and protruded parts of a die.

The reinforcing fabric 30 is placed on the top part of a front protruded part 4a and the adjacent rear protruded part 4b so as to straddle one groove part 5 of a die 1 and deformed along the surface of the groove part 5 by protruding an up and down movable press member 22 to be shaped on the entire periphery of the die 1 [process (1)] and the sheet 35 for the compressed rubber is wound around the die 1 and both ends thereof are butted to be joined [process (2)] while an anti-blocking material 40 is wound around the surface of the sheet 35 for the compressed rubber [process (3)]. Thereafter, the sheet 35 for the compressed rubber is heated and pressed to be shaped along the surface of the die 1 and at least a core wire 50 and a stretched rubber sheet 53 are successively wound around the surface of the sheet for the compressed rubber from which the anti-blocking material 40 is removed to form a belt molded body 55 and the vulcanized sleeve obtained by vulcanizing the belt die body 55 is cut into a V-shape to manufacture the transmission belt [process (4)].
