PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a travelling drum capable of accurately manufacturing a travelling drum different in diameter in a drum axial direction.SOLUTION: A manufacturing method of a travelling drum includes: a step of installing a framework 13 including a pair of circumferential direction frames 14 projecting to a drum radial direction from an outer peripheral surface 5a of a drum main body 5; a step of filling an unhardened composition 7a constituting a road surface part 6 in the outer peripheral surface 5a between the pair of circumferential direction frames 14 exceeding a projected height of the circumferential direction frame 14; and a step of disposing the pair of circumferential direction frames 14, while making them straddle a roller 21 and move in the circumferential direction so as to smooth a top surface of the composition 7. The roller 21 has a first portion 26 in contact with the composition 7. The first portion 26 has a three-dimensional curve whose outer diameter is gradually increased toward an end part side from a center portion side of an axial direction. Thereby, in a cross-section including a drum shaft 3, an external surface 7a of the composition 7 is smoothed to a smooth arc surface so as to become convex radially outside of the drum.
