Abstract:
To provide a new and improved forming method of a dimpled tube.
Respective rim parts 24, 26 of a strip of the tube are abutted against each other and the summit 44 of a dimple 32 is brought into abutted state against the summit 46 of another dimple 30. Respective openings 34 of the summit 44 are aligned with the summit 46 and a fillet weld 48, formed of a brazing material, not only connects the summits 44, 46 but also seals up the openings 34. The fillet weld 48 is formed of a part of the brazing alloy layer 42 on the surface 38, which is introduced into the inside of the tube through the openings 34 and wets the summit 46 of the dimple 30, then, is solidified subsequently.
