Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for manufacturing a bent tube having a curvature radius of inner side of bent part which is substantially zero.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing a bent tube uses a metal die having a groove into which a tube stock is inserted, and which is formed between upper and lower die members, wherein a recessed part is formed at one of the die members, continued to a space inside the groove, and recessed toward inside of the other one of the die members, and a protruding part protruding from an inner surface of the groove toward inside of the recessed part, is disposed at the other one of the die members. The method for manufacturing a bent tube comprises: closing the die with a liquid pressure applied to an inside of the tube stock to cause the protruding part to form a locally recessed part in a part of an outer peripheral surface of the tube stock; applying a pressure to the tube stock along an axis line (axial-pressing) from both end parts, to push-in the tube stock inside the recessed part while slipping both end parts of the locally recessed part with respect to the protruding part to separate a locally bent part from a tip of the protruding part; and at the same time, bending the tube stock to cause both end parts of the locally recessed part to approach each other so as to form the U-shaped bent part of the tube-stock in the recessed part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
