To provide a manufacturing method for a vegetable fiber-impregnated asphalt pavement material, which can properly obtain the advantage of mixing vegetable fibers into the asphalt pavement material, by solving the problems of the flying of paper powder in the charging of the vegetable fibers into the asphalt pavement material, the deterioration of the working environment and a variation in mixing ratio, and the problem that dispersion is inhibited by bunching, and by effectively solving, for example, the problem that the vegetable fibers remain in the asphalt pavement material because the pelletizing of the vegetable fibers inhibits uniform disaggregation and dispersion.
In this manufacturing method for the vegetable fiber-impregnated asphalt pavement material, the vegetable fibers 2 are used as a chief material; an uncompressed granular material 3 granulated without the compression of the vegetable fibers 2 is used; gravel 9 and the granular material 3 are mixed and agitated, while being heated; the granular material 3 is disaggregated into the vegetable fibers 2 and dispersed by heating, mixing and agitating the gravel 9 and the granular material 3; and liquid asphalt 11 is mixed into a heated and mixed material, composed of the gravel 9 and the disaggregated and dispersed vegetable fibers 2, and agitated.
