PURPOSE: To improve the yield of a bolt and washer from a material, by cutting out the bolt and washer to be combined to each other from the same material.

CONSTITUTION: For a chucked material 1, firstly the machining work of outside diameter for a bolt shank part 2a and screw machining are performed. Secondly to an end face 3c of the material 1 continued to the shank part 2a with said screw machined 2b, a lateral cutting off tool 4 is adapted and shifted along the outer surface of the shank part 2a in the axial direction of the material 1 by the amount of thickness of a washer 3 to drill a hole 3a of the washer 3. Then a position apart from an end face 3c of said material 1 by the dimension of thickness of the washer is performed a cutting off machining by a tool 5 to simultaneously perform the work of machining a rear side end face 3b of the washer 3 and an end face 2d of a bolt head part 2c, thus to obtain the washer 3 from the material 1. Then a place apart from the end face 2d by the dimension of thickness of the bolt head part 2c is performed a cutting off machining by the tool 5 to form a rear side end face 2e of the bolt head part 2c, thus to obtain a bolt 2 from the material 1.
