Abstract:
To accurately detect abnormality that occurs during the manufacture of a water treatment membrane and manufacture a defect-free membrane.SOLUTION: Provided is a manufacturing method for a water treatment membrane that includes a resin membrane, comprising: a step (a) for preparing a resin solution that includes a thermoplastic resin and a solvent; a step (b) for discharging the resin solution from a metal mold and generating a resin membrane; a step (c) for imaging the resin membrane during conveyance of the discharged resin membrane while the resin membrane is in a semi-transparent state and determining the presence of a defect of the resin membrane; a step (d) for processing a defect-containing portion of the resin membrane on the basis of the determination result of the step (c) so that it can be discriminated from defect-free portions. The step (c) further includes a step (c1) for adjusting the brightness of illumination against the semi-transparent resin membrane, and a step (c2) for imaging the resin membrane with the brightness adjusted in the step (c1) and determining the presence of a defect of the resin membrane.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
