Abstract:
To provide a manufacturing method of a wheel for a saddle-riding type vehicle, in which a clamp mark is not left on a wheel even when flow forming is performed on an intermediate product.SOLUTION: A manufacturing method of a wheel 100' for a saddle-riding type vehicle includes a step of preparing an intermediate product formed from a metal material and comprising an original hub part, an original rim part 120', and a plurality of original spoke parts 130', and a step of performing flow forming using a flow forming device for the original rim part of the intermediate product. The flow forming device has a first mandrel, a second mandrel, a rotation mechanism for rotating the first and second mandrels, and a roller pressed against an outer peripheral surface 120b'of the original rim part. The inner peripheral surface of the original rim part of the intermediate product includes a first region that comes into contact with a first contact surface of the first mandrel and a second region that comes into contact with a second contact surface of the second mandrel. Each of the first and second regions has a step part 121 protruding inward in a radial direction of the intermediate product.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
