Abstract:
This method for manufacturing a layered wood panel 1 comprises an uncompressed unit panel preparation step, a pre-compressed unit panel preparation step, and a hot-pressing step. In the uncompressed unit panel preparation step, at least one uncompressed unit panel 2 is prepared, obtained by supplying a unit panel of palm wood with a polyvalent carboxylic acid. In the pre-compressed unit panel preparation step, a plurality of pre-compressed unit panels 3 are prepared, obtained by supplying a polyvalent carboxylic acid to unit panels of palm wood and then heating the panels at a first temperature while pressing the panels at a first pressure,. In the hot-pressing step, the pre-compressed unit panels 3 are overlaid, at least one panel at a time, on both sides of a core 4 that includes the at least one uncompressed unit panel 2, and then the result is heated at a second temperature that is higher than the first temperature while being pressed at a second pressure that is lower than the first pressure.
