Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a zinc oxide ore capable of obtaining a zinc oxide ore with high quality while maintaining the high working rate of a rotary kiln.SOLUTION: There is provided a method for producing a zinc oxide ore comprising: a preliminary mixing step where a raw material ore and a carbonaceous reducing agent are mixedly granulated to obtain a reducing agent-inner packaged pellet; a reduction roasting step where the reducing agent-inner packaged pellet is roasted to obtain crude zinc oxide; a wet step where a halogen group element(s) is removed from the crude zinc oxide by wet treatment to obtain a crude zinc oxide cake; and a dry heating step where the crude zinc oxide cake is fired by a drying heating furnace. In the preliminary mixing step, the raw material ore to be used has a grain size distribution in which the ratio of 0.5 mm under is 10% or lower, the carbonaceous reducing agent to be used in the preliminary mixing step has a grain size of 200 μm or lower, and also, the content ratio of the carbonaceous reducing agent in the reducing agent-inner packaged pellet is controlled to 18% or lower.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
