Abstract:
To provide a simple method for manufacturing a zinc oxide ultrafine particle which is excellent in absorption or luminescence characteristics and has a high solubility to organic solvents and a stable dispersibility.
The zinc oxide ultrafine particle is obtained by dissolving a zinc compound in an alcohol, hydrolyzing the zinc compound in the presence of a basic substance to prepare a zinc oxide microcrystal and coordinating phosphine oxides onto the surface of the microcrystal.
