PURPOSE: To prepare a wall paint useful for the manufacturing of a wall paper having three-dimentional effect, by mixing a water-retaining fibers and an adhesive to high-density fiber balls made of chopped fibers.

CONSTITUTION: Natural fibers such as cotton or synthetic fibers such as nylon, are chopped and randomly collected to form dense balls, which are mixed with water- retaining fibers such as pulp powder, and an adhesive such as vinyl acetate copolymer, to obtain the objective wall paint. A wall paper having three-dimensional effect is prepared by applying the mixture obtained above to a substrate paper, and drying the mixture to leave the fiber balls on the surface.
