Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform building and a repair work for a large structure, such as the steel floor system of a ship and a bridge, by utilizing a general quay.
SOLUTION: A barge 2 is constituted in such a manner that by regulating a quantity of water of ballast water by a plurality of ballast tank 4 units, into which the interior of a barge body 3 is partitioned, inclination of an upper deck and float and sink of a whole are contolled. The barge 2 is caused to come alongside a quay 28, water is poured in the ballast tank 4, which is sunk, and a bottom is caused to seat a seat bottom so that the upper deck is positiorxed approximately flush with the quay 28. The barge 2 is served as a work stage, material and apparatuses are directly inputted on the upper deck from the quay 28 to effect a work. When the work is completed, water is drained from the ballast tank 4, the barge 2 is floated with a ship 1 placed on the upper deck, and tagged to a given sea area by a tag boat. At the sea area, the barge 2 is sunk and the ship 1 is launched.
