Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a map display system, map display method, and map display program, by which the positional relation between map data before change and map data after the change can easily be grasped without adding a new display, such as an arrow, to display means before and after a change in map data display.SOLUTION: An on-vehicle navigator 1 comprises: a moving direction specifying part 6a configured to specify a moving direction from the current point to a changed destination; a relay point specifying part 6b configured to specify a current-point-side relay point, resultant of movement by a predetermined distance from the current point along the moving direction; a buffer part 6c configured to buffer current-point-side map data for slide-display of the map data; and a display control part 6d configured to cause a display 4 to sequentially carry out slide display from current map data to current-point-side relay map data and switch display from the current-point-side relay map data to changed destination map data.
