Abstract:
To provide a map generation device capable of smoothly performing map generation work even in an indoor environment where there are people around.SOLUTION: A map generation device 10 of the present invention that solves this problem, comprises: an imaging unit 101; an environmental feature extraction unit 102 for extracting environmental features from captured images; a position estimation unit 103 for calculating a movement amount of the map generation device 10 from the difference between continuously captured images, integrating the movement amount from a map generation start position, and estimating position coordinates; and a map information recording unit 104 for recording the extracted environmental features in association with the estimated position coordinates. The map generation device displays visual information captured by the imaging unit 101 and a currently captured image by the imaging unit 101 as a point where a work can be resumed, and calculates an imaging start position to create a map according to the selection for display contents.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
