PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve matching accuracy.SOLUTION: A map matching processing device, which implements matching for a plurality of position coordinates of a moving body on a link within map data, comprises a matching determination unit that determines a link of a matching destination or matching invalidity as a matching result of the position coordinate as to each of the position coordinates. After temporarily determining the matching result as to each of the position coordinates, the matching determination unit is configured to, as to each of the position coordinates, modify the matching result of the position coordinate on the basis of a matching result of one or more timewise previous position coordinates with respect to the position coordinate and/or a matching result of one or more timewise subsequent position coordinates with respect to the position coordinate.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
