Abstract:
To efficiently obtain a map that an autonomous mobile device uses for autonomous movement.SOLUTION: A map providing system provides an autonomous mobile device movable on a floor of a movement space with a map for route planning including information on a position of an obstacle in the movement space. The map providing system comprises: a storage unit that stores a three-dimensional map including information on a three-dimensional shape of the obstacle in the movement space; an acquisition unit that acquires information on a height of the autonomous mobile device from the floor in a vertical direction; and a map creation unit that extracts information on the maximum contour of the obstacle within a range from the floor to the height of the autonomous mobile device in the vertical direction on the basis of, the three-dimensional map and the information on the height of the autonomous mobile device, and creates the map for route planning including information on the maximum contour of the obstacle in a direction orthogonal to the vertical direction and the information on the position of the obstacle.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
