Abstract:
PURPOSE:To achieve the increase in output, in a marine engine in which the Joule heat due to plasma discharge is utilized, by connecting a dc power supply in parallel with a coil having an amorphous iron core and with a first engine, and connecting a second engine in series between the dc power supply and the coil. CONSTITUTION:In a first engine A, the pressure inside a discharge chamber 1 is suddenly raised by the large current plasma discharge that is generated when the voltage of a plasma electrode 1a decreases a little less than a constant voltage V, thereby a large pressure is exerted on the jet water 3 contained in an output chamber 2, so that thrust can be obtained by jetting the water from an injection hole 2a. While a second engine C is constituted nearly in the same way as the first engine A, in the second engine C, further a plasma electrode 5a is provided. And it is so contrived that the second engine C is connected in series between a dc power supply 7 constituting a dc power supply circuit D and a coil 7a in which an amorphous iron core is used, and that the first engine A is connected in parallel with the coil 7a.
