Abstract:
To provide a marine propulsion device that can achieve excellent power generation efficiency, a ship equipped with the same, and a power supply system.SOLUTION: A power supply system of an outboard motor includes: a generator 62 driven by an engine; a rectifier regulator 70 connected to the generator; and a charging control unit 80 that controls charging of the battery 90 with the power generated by the rectifier regulator. The charging control unit operates such that the induced voltage of the generator approaches one-half of the voltage across the battery's terminals. The battery may include a first battery 91 and a second battery 92 different in voltage across the battery's terminals. The charging control unit includes: a switching unit 83 that connects the rectifier regulator to either the first battery or the second battery; and a controller 86 that controls the switching unit according to the engine rotation speed detected by an engine rotation speed sensor 59.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
