Abstract:
PURPOSE: To easily and properly hold a blade shaft rotatably supporting a propeller blade, on a propeller boss at the preset axial position, regarding a marine variable pitch propeller having a variable propeller diameter.
CONSTITUTION: Both forward and rear end walls of a recess 26 on the external surface of a propeller boss 12 for housing the boss 32a of a propeller blade 32, is provided with forward and rear bearing holes 28 and 29 for supporting a blade shaft 33 splined to the boss 32a. Furthermore, a flange 33a formed on the shaft 33 is clamped with one edge of the boss 12 and a common presser plate 37 fastened thereto.
