To provide a marine vessel propulsion system, capable of turning on and off electric power supplies of a plurality of propulsion devices all at once and suppressing or preventing the corotation of a prime motor during stopping.
The marine vessel propulsion system includes a single switch 81 for turning on and off a plurality of outboards all at once; and a plurality of outboard ECUs 30 corresponding to the plurality of outboards respectively. Each of the outboard ECUs 30 checks the corresponding outboard for the corotation of engine. Each outboard ECU 30 forcedly controls, when occurrence of the corotation of engine in the corresponding outboard is determined, the shift position of the corresponding outboard to a neutral position regardless of the lever position.
