In mark entry information 37, individual entry pattern information is extracted with respect to the entry requisite section of a mark card, and stored in an individual entry pattern information storage area 42, and entry pattern information 38 is extracted via a projection part 32, a pre-processing part 33 and a pattern extraction part 34 even with respect to any section other than the entry requisite section of the mark card, and the extracted information is transmitted to a comparison/determination part 39. The comparison/determination part 39 compares the individual entry pattern information which is characteristic to the entry person stored in the individual entry pattern information storage area 42 with the entry pattern information 38 other than the entry requisite section of the mark card, and determines the presence/absence of the mark according to whether or not the both patterns are analog, and makes a mark presence/absence information storage area 43 store the output result.
