PURPOSE: To realize the sure cutting of material to be marked, simplify the adjustment of depth of cut and further realize the good carrying of the material to be marked.

CONSTITUTION: Material to be marked is fed from feed rollers 62 and 63 onto a marking pad 40, at both the sides of which guide plates 41 and 42 are installed. A circular cutter 50 is fixed to a cutting pad 51 outside the guide plate 42. On the other hand, a keep plate 59 is mounted to a movable frame 20 equipped with a type ring 30. By moving the movable frame 20 downwards, the keep plate 59 presses the marked portion of the material to be marked. Under this state, the material to be marked is cut off with a cutter 50.
