Abstract:
To provide a coating for marking suitably used for marking an iron steel material, in which correction work of marking is not needed because the coating for marking is not dissolved in water, but is in acid, and the marking is not lost by rain water or the like even when an iron steel material is stored for long time after marking, operation for removing the marking separately is not needed, because the marking can be removed by acid cleaning, and it is excellent in operation efficiency capable of determining whether presence or absence of acid cleaning depending of presence or absence of marking or state, or whether or not acid cleaning is sufficiently conducted.SOLUTION: There is provided a coating for marking containing a rosin modified maleic acid resin of 3.0 to 11.0 wt.%, a water soluble resin of 1.0 to 3.0 wt.%, a solvent, and a pigment of 3.0 to 9.0 wt.%.SELECTED DRAWING: None
