Abstract:
To provide a martensitic stainless steel which stably shows superior performance for a long period and is suitable for a shaft material in a torque sensor.
The martensitic stainless steel for the torque sensor comprises, by weight ratio, 0.35-0.45% C, 1.80-2.50% Si, 0.60% or less Mn, 10.0-12.0% Cr, 0.70-1.30% Mo and the balance Fe with unavoidable impurities; has hardness of Hv 300 to 400 after having been quenched and tempered; and includes 5% or less retained austenite.
