Abstract:
Provided are a mask with which it is possible to reduce the risk of air including microscopic particles such as viruses being taken through a side portion to the inner-surface side of a mask body without passing through the mask body, and a method for manufacturing said mask. The mask (10) comprises a mask body (2), intermediate members (6), and ear-hook members (4). The mask body (2) has a first surface that faces the wearer when worn, and a second surface (2B) positioned on the reverse side of the first surface. The intermediate members (6) are positioned at both ends of the mask body (2) in a first direction (D1). Each ear-hook member (4) includes: a base part (42), at least a part of which is joined to a second joining part (14) of the intermediate member (6); and an ear-hook part (44) that is hooked on the ear of the wearer. The ear-hook members (4) are connected to the mask body (2) via the intermediate members (6).
