PURPOSE: To combine plural graphics so that a graphic which cannot be produced so far can be produced by making a shifting process possible in a preset one direction only and combining the shifting process with logical operation on graphics.

CONSTITUTION: A shifting direction and shifting amount for making an enlargement or contraction shift are set and a designated graphic is shifted in the set shifting direction by the set shifting amount. Since the shifting process can be performed in a certain set direction only, connection between graphics 10 and 14 and between graphics 12 and 14 becomes possible while the graphics 10 and 12 are kept separated from each other. Therefore, plural graphics can be combined to produce a graphic which cannot be produced so far.
