A mask 10 for sealing openings, which is used for sealing openings of through holes 1a of a honeycomb structure 1, includes a flat-plate like first layer 11 having a plurality of first opening portions 11a penetrating in a thickness direction, and a second layer 12 mounted on one surface of the first layer 11 and having a plurality of second opening portions 12a each penetrating in the thickness direction at a position corresponding to the first opening portion 11a. An opening diameter of the second opening portion 12a in a side opposite to a side in which the first layer exits is larger than that of the first opening portion 11a in a side in which the second layer exists.
