Abstract:
PURPOSE: To execute the back-off process at the optimum timing only when the back-off process is required.
CONSTITUTION: The cut residual quantity is determined from the sizing signal from a sizing device and the cut quantity of a wheel spindle stock 13 detected by a position detector. When a judging means 130 judges that the cut residual quantity exceeds the allowable value, the retreat quantity of the wheel spindle stock 13 and the cut feed speed of the wheel spindle stock 13 after the retreat are calculated by a calculating means 140 according to the cut residual quantity. The wheel spindle stock 13 is quickly reciprocated according to the retreat quantity, then the wheel spindle stock 13 is cut-controlled according to the calculated cut feed speed.
