Abstract:
PURPOSE: To reduce the resonating noise of a pipe owing to fluid noises, by setting the natural frequency of the pipe at the part outside the band of the fluid noises in designing the pipe in a Coriolis flowmeter.
CONSTITUTION: Both ends of a straight pipe 1, wherein the fluid to be measured flows, are fixed by bases 3. Vibrations obtained by a means 7, which excites the straight pipe, are detected by detecting means 61 and 62. The lowest natural frequency fmin of this pipe is made larger than the band width B of the fluid noises, so that fmin/B>1 is satisfied.
