Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide mass spectrum analysis method, with which a huge amount of samples from a column can be processed and ionized, and with which the sensitivity of mass spectrum analysis can be improved.
CONSTITUTION: A first tube 19 is provided in a second tube 20. A needle shape electrode 16 is provided in the first tube 19, and a gas is guided to the gap between the second tube 20 and the first tube 19, while a sample separated by a separation column 5 is guided to the gap between the first tube 19 and the needle shape electrode 16. Ions are extracted from the sample, and the ions are moved in the direction of the needle shape electrode 16, to extend the needle shape electrode 16 closer to a first extraction electrode 8 than the first tube 19 and the second tube 20, and the mass of the ions is thus analyzed.
