To provide a master-slave gate opening and closing device that allows a master gate and a slave gate to lift separately and the master gate to lift rapidly without damaging the slave gate.
A master-slave gate opening and closing device is provided with a liftable master gate having an opening and a liftable slave gate for opening/closing the opening. A rod 19 is connected to the master gate, and a rod 23 is connected to the slave gate. Motors M1 and M2 lift the rod 19 and the rod 23 respectively via rotating shaft bodies 21 and 24 respectively. A master support pipe 27 and a slave support pipe 28 are connected to the rod 19 and the rod 23 respectively. The master support pipe 27 is provided with limit switches 29 and 30 in vertical stages, and the slave support pipe 28 is equipped with strikers 31 and 32 in vertical stages. When the slave gate moves downward to open the opening, the limit switch in the lower stage is activated by the strikers and stops. When the slave gate moves upward to close the opening, the upper limit switch 29 is activated and stops.
