Abstract:

To provide a masterbatch suitable for producing an oxygen absorbing molded product having excellent oxygen absorbing performance, and excellent in moldability, and to provide a method for producing the oxygen absorbing molded product, utilizing the masterbatch.

The masterbatch comprises at least two components of a metallic compound (B) and a reactive thermoplastic resin (C), wherein the metallic compound (B) is used as an oxidation accelerator for a specified oxidizable polyamide (A). Further, the reactive thermoplastic resin (C) has internally connectable and/or reactive functional groups which are reactive with the oxidizable polyamide (A) when the resin (C)is molten and mixed with the polyamide (A), and furthermore, the reactive thermoplastic resin (C) has such a characteristic that its oxidation is not accelerated by the metallic compound (B) at ordinary temperature under atmospheric pressure. The oxygen absorbing molded product is produced by utilizing the masterbatch.
