PURPOSE: To obtain the title mat having sheet elasticity of strong liveliness and obtained by each winding a filament made of thermoplastic synthetic resin and having large space of arrangement and many lines into coil form, fusing crossing parts of the resultant loop to give loop aggregate and vertically and mutually overlapping the loop aggregate in specific state.

CONSTITUTION: In the aimed mat, aggregates A and B of filament loop obtained by bridging coil-form loop having relatively many fused part between adjacent loops with overlapping of loop edge between adjacent filaments 2a are vertically and mutually overlapped while holding a aggregating layer C partially or wholly composed of sideways thrown loops in the center. The aimed mat is e.g., obtained by a method applying a filament bundle to the surface of boiled water at temperature closed to temperature in melt molding and once pulling up the filament loop aggregate formed by vertically sinking the filament bundle under state controlled to slower speed than extrusion forming speed, heating one side of the aggregate to near melting temperature and then sending the aggregate into area of water surface of the sunk second filament bundle.
