PURPOSE: To provide the subject mat capable of preventing water drops and malodor produced from sweat during the wear of a helmet having the mat therein and of being stably held in the helmet by receiving and holding a powdery material having dehumidifying and deodorizing properties in bags disposed in the mat on the approximately inner circumference of the helmet.
CONSTITUTION: A powdery material (e.g. porous ceramics) 3 having dehumidifying and deodorizing properties is packaged in air-permeable inner bags 4, which are received and held in air-permeable outer bags 2 disposed on the circumferential inner side of a helmet to provide the objective mat. The inner bags 4 woven in a finer woven state than the outer bags are employed. The outer bags 2 receiving the inner bags 4 therein are adhered to double-side adhesive tapes 7 and attached to the helmet, thereby permitting to wear the helmet without any unpleasant touch.
