PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an environment-friendly mat by maintaining functions of hygroscopicity, odor removal properties, mildew resistance, etc., by using a principal material consisting of a wooden sliced piece.
SOLUTION: A main material 1 conveyed with a first band conveyor is changed into a hopper. The main material stored in the hopper slides down from a slide plate every time a front plate is vibrated, and transfers onto a downside cloth material 17 conducted onto a second band conveyor. After maintaining quantitative uniformity of the main material on the down side cloth material 17, an upper side cloth material 28 is applied on the main material group. Then, the main material group together with both those cloth material 17, 28 are compressed with a compression roller group, and they are seamed together keeping the compression state. It is cut by a specific length to form one sheet of a mat material.
