Abstract:
To provide a three-dimensional article consisting of vegetable fibers which can be easily formed at a high production efficiency by the dry forming system without using any pulp slurry using water in a forming step.
In a mat mainly consisting of vegetable fibers in which vegetable fibers 13 and a thermoplastic resin 14 heat-bonded to the vegetable fibers are mixed, yarn-like components 11 and 12 continuous in one of longitudinal and transverse directions or in both directions are disposed in the mat mainly consisting of vegetable fibers, and the three-dimensional article is formed by compressing the mat by a pair of male and female press dies having a three- dimensional shape.
