PURPOSE: To provide a mat which is intensified in entanglement by formation of pills, is prevented in fatigue of high piles, has good washability, is additionally formed with the pills and is consequently more intensified in the entanglement of the high piles by washing, has good air permeability from between the parts forming the pills as a whole, is comfortably usable without moistening and is furnished at a cost of half the cost of mouton or less.

CONSTITUTION: This mat for preventing the bedsore, etc., consists of a base part 1 formed by knitting or weaving and a pile part 2 formed with the sliver or yarn knitted or woven into the base part 1 to a high pile foot. At least ≥20% low melting fibers are included in the constituting fibers of the pile part 2 and the high piles of the pile part 2 are pilled and formed by a thermal finishing treatment after the knitting or weaving.
