Abstract:

To provide an artificial lawn-like mat which has less water-absorbing property, hardly causes black mold, has piles with necessary durability and a cushioning performance, can maintain a flat and smooth pile surface for a long period of time, has a precise ground weave which allows running water to flow on the surface without water penetration, and promises efficient cleaning and retrieve of balls.

The mat is made of a pile fabric equipped with piles which have a required length and are woven by a Wilton loom and by crossing a pile yarn 1 and ground yarns 5, or warp and weft yarns. A filament yarn is used for the pile yarn and the ground yarns. The length of the pile is set between 0.5 mm and 10.0 mm, or preferably, it is set between 1.0 mm and 5.0 mm. A reinforcing core yarn is threaded through a loop pile.
