PURPOSE: To obtain the mat being excellent in gaseous transmission and heat retaining property, and also, holding an excellent cushion property, and more over, to eliminate a discomfort sense caused by an odious smell due to perspira tion, etc., by forming a cushion part with a honeycomb material, and an odious smell absorbing part of activated carbon, etc., in this cushion part.

CONSTITUTION: A body part 2 consists of a cushion part 3 and an odious smell absorbing part 4. Also, the cushion part 3 uses a band-like paper material of alamid paper, kraft paper, etc., as a base material, reinforced by impregnating a resin, and also, the cushion part 3 is formed by a honeycomb material 10 consisting of a planar assembly of a cell 13 having a flat and wide opening end formed by the cell wall 12. In such a state, granular activated carbon 14 enclosed in each cell 13 of the honeycomb material 10 is accumulated in a state running along the lower face side of the cushion part 3 at the time of using a mat 1. By this activated carbon 14, the odious smell absorbing part 4 is formed. Also, the body part 2 is covered with a cover member 5 of hemp, cotton, etc.
