A construction method for water stopping is used for water- stopping a mouth 2a of a pipeline 2, through which a multi-filamentary body 3 formed by a plurality of bundled single filamentary bodies 3a is passed. In the method, first and second porous bodies 11a and 11b having passing holes 12 for passing the body 3 are pushed in the pipeline 2, in a state where the bodies 11a and 11b are separated from each other in the axial direction of the pipeline 2, and the space 17 between the porous bodies 11a and 11b is filled up with a hydrophilic polymerization-curing liquid water-sealing agent until the surface level of the agent becomes higher than the gaps among the single filamentary bodies 3a, and after the bodies 11a and 11b are impregnated with the agent, the agent is made to cure.
