Abstract:
To provide a material for the detection of a heavy metal which is suitably used when a trace component, especially heavy metal ions, are quantitatively determined simply and with satisfactory accuracy.
The material for the detection of the heavy metal is composed of a solid hydrophilic-hydrophobic thermoreversible heat-sensitive polymer compound, in which the heavy metal ions and a hydrophobic chelate formation-type coloring reagent by forming a chelate complex so as to be colored are contained.
