Abstract:
PURPOSE: To smoothly feed the material for a partially solidified metal forming machine by providing a sequential transfer means for billets arranged in a line, and a pressing mans to shift the billets to the forming means.
CONSTITUTION: In a material feeding device of a partially solidified metal forming machine 1 which is provided with a heating means 5 to heat a billet B as a stock in the partially solidified condition, and a transfer means 4 to transfer the heated billet to a forming means 2, the transfer means 4 is constituted so as to arrange a plurality of billets B in a line and sequentially shift them, and at the same time, a pressing means 6 is provided to shift the billets B from the transfer means 4 to the forming means 2. This arrangement simplifies the connection of the forming means 2 to the transfer means 4 and the structure of the device to transfer the stock therebetween.
